This was the first time I have included a pet into an engagement session and I hope there will be many more! I had been looking forward to Chrissy and James’ engagement shoot at Perry’s Paddock for ages and I am happy to share with you the images now.

The rain threatened and I was contemplating rescheduling however they were happy to chill in their car for a little while and see if it passed and I am so glad we did. The rain came and went and left a beautiful soft light to work with and all the colours even more vibrant. Not deterred by the wet ground they gathered up Maisie’s leash and took her for a walk along the path. Yellagonga park has beautiful long grasses, marshy areas and big old bushy olive trees providing such a lovely backdrop for photo’s. Anyone North of the river should definitely consider this for a portrait location.

Doing something so natural like taking your dog for a walk is a perfect way to get natural loving photo’s, we also tried for a save-the-date mini shoot too. Maisie co-operated so well, looking at the camera just when I needed her too. I can’t wait for this lovely couple’s big day to arrive…
