Ewa & Daniel | Gravity Discovery Centre

It was my pleasure to photograph this beautiful observatory wedding at the Gravity Discovery Centre near Gin Gin.

The Preparation

The morning was spent in preparation at the nearby Serena Metta retreat. This is a special place perfect for those who are looking to unplug from all the technology in your life. Rich in Buddhist spirituality it is a very tranquil setting for a bridal party. Ewa’s bridesmaids showed their skills by doing their hair and makeup and even Ewa’s gorgeous bouquet made from foraged flowers and greenery. It really looked spectacular. The boys had a bbq and it was really such a relaxing morning.

Ewa and Daniel exchanged vows in front of their family and friends, many who came from Poland for this special occasion. They stood hand in hand under the shadow of the enormous leaning gravity tower and the cosmology gallery. After the ceremony we walked around the centre for pictures, even going up more than 200 steps up the tower for shots of the sun setting and the gorgeous views of the surrounding bushland.

The Cosmology gallery was setup up for the reception, swathed in soft drapes, fairy lights and greenery. It was a perfect setting. The guests were even given a private tour of the observatory with telescopes pointing into the night sky. They’ll be talking about it for years to come for sure.

It may have been their first wedding at the GDC but I’m sure it won’t be their last. Please enjoy these highlights!
