Thank you so much to Milka & Alex for choosing us to photograph their beautiful wedding at Bridgeleigh. When I saw the results of their pre-wedding portrait session I knew their wedding was going to be fantastic and it’s fast becoming a favourite of ours. They are a genuinely lovely couple who have been so easy to work with, they are the kind of people that make our job amazing. Such strong a bond exists between them and their friends, it was lovely to capture.
I was super impressed with how Milka’s girls looked after her throughout the day. Right from the beginning they were there making sure her dress and flowers were all perfectly in place. Not only did they look stunning but they took on their job of bridesmaids so well, providing emotional support when needed too. After a quick stop for pictures at Kings Park, they arrived and Milka made her entrance down the aisle through the green arch. The sun shone through her veil and it was just gorgeous. Exchanging their vows in the garden became even more special as it was done with Alex’s grandad as the minister.
Portraits
We took portraits in the natural bush setting, allowing for a few quiet moments as newlyweds, before heading into the Banksia room for the reception. Another great example of having ceremony and reception all in the one location! I’m one of those people that get emotional during the speeches, no matter how many weddings I attend. I thought these were amongst the most heartfelt words spoken during a reception ever, with dedications to family who have passed and those who couldn’t attend. I’m sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
During the reception we slipped out with the bridal party to have a bit of fun with some sparklers. I’m loving the results! Then it was back to the dance floor where even grandad joined in! We wish you all the best for your future as newlyweds, please enjoy these highlights!
