Natalie & Luke | Midland Railway Workshop

This is up there with my all time favourite sessions! I had been wanting to go to the Midland railway workshops for an engagement shoot for ages so I ran the idea past Natalie and Luke and they were up for it. Score! The workshops have been cleaned up a little, some development going on, but there are still little pockets of raw vintage industrial awesomeness that makes for a super amazing backdrop. Thankfully Natalie and Luke trusted me to see my vision through.  We wandered the laneways looking for the late afternoon slices of light. I came across a wild grape vine that also made a cute place to nestle into. I’m extremely happy with the results. Bring on the new year, I can’t wait for their wedding.

Natalie and Luke also told me about this place where Luke proposed, high on a hill overlooking Perth, a great viewpoint for watching fireworks, only accessible by 4WD. This immediately made me excited, I love the idea of out of the way places for photo shoots. So we went here first for a few pics. The native grasses swayed golden in the afternoon sun. Granite boulders scattered around and THAT VIEW! I’m so glad I went here.  Enjoy these highlights.
